Project 1: Love letter
We were experiencing the beginning of covid-19 pandemic while doing this project, and we are currently studying and working from home. It is a special time for everyone. For this last project, we were asked to work on anything we would like to do. It is an open project, and I would like to continue working on the ‘Processing’, and explore more meaningful interactive designs with it. For this project, the instructor wanted us to develop something that could be seen/read/heard as a love letter to something/someone we are grateful for as a result of the pandemic that we previously took for granted. This is a really thoughtful objective for a design project. I was so grateful that I was able to make something relates to current situation.
The final project has been documented in the form of a video.

Project 2: Think before you print
This is a project I made for my undergraduate interactive design course. According to the research on environmental facts, I came to this design concept of saving printing papers. In this project, I intend to remind the users about the environmental impacts through interactive design.

Arduino/LED experiment & Final installation
Infrared sensor is used as a button to control the LED to switch on and off. So that in my installation the sensor will sense the paper when they come out from the printer and send the data to Arduino. The image below shows the circuit board of infrared sensor. Use the 2 points of sound speaker as input and output plug into the pin2 and GND on Arduino board. The input leg of infrared sensor goes into pin2 and output leg goes into GND. After several experiments on the Arduino & LED, finally got the input and output in the right pin position. At last, the LED was controlled well by the Arduino which was blinking once each time the LED was switched on.
Project 3. A transforming space
This is a real-time media project I made for my undergraduate course. Through subtle adjustment to the saturation and duration of the videos, various scenes consisting of different audio and color effect can be created for the audience to revisit the physical site in a digital experience.

Visual music
In this project, I want to evoke an environmental atmosphere through Vjing for people to experience..
Visual+Interface
The visual experience will be a series of short video clips that show different environments of the mother nature. It is an interactive interface such that the audience can control the videos, as they want to play, pause or terminate the videos, simply by using their shadow of movement. The videos covered by the audience's shadow will be played, while the others not covered by the shadow will be frozen. That means whether the videos are going be paused or running at different times depends on the movement of the audience.
Audio
Meanwhile, audio plays a significant role in this interface experience. The audio will come through as well as the video is running. Audios from different videos will be mixed together when the videos are playing. By such a way, the audience will be their own DJ as well. They can interact with the audios/videos by moving their bodies.
The goal was to get the audience involved such that they could enjoy both the videos and music that I create.
